Fēfaur is publishing a white paper on eLearning in French business. Its contents include an overview of supply and demand, the role of LMSs in training strategies and the rise of SaaS.

The White Paper presents an initial overview of supply and demand : training platforms, specific or off-the-shelf content and authoring tools are reviewed, and the main requirements of business are restated. The picture is given greater depth by consideration of company size - SMEs still have a long way to go - and the overall delay, though the French market is catching up with its European counterparts.

The White Paper covers the factors that may lead a company to initiate or develop a blended training process : a specific trigger project, a new HR environment, diversification in training practice, a desire to optimise provision and control costs etc. Based on studies conducted by Fēfaur, it highlights the role of LMSs in implementing a training policy that aligns skills with the company's strategy, both globally and locally.

The very concept of an LMS is being revised: the functional core and new features that have become indispensable, paving the way for convergence between LMSs and management software to optimise the process of administrative training management.
